A client from Las Vegas, contacted Kingpin Car and Marine Audio about installing a remote car starter and security system in his 2017 Toyota Tundra. We invited the client in for a consultation to review where he would be parking the vehicle and what he was trying to protect. With that information understood, we designed a system that met his needs and provided a quotation. He liked the plan, so we scheduled an appointment to perform the installation.
This full-blown system includes a Compustar CM7000S brain, a DroneMobile telematics interface, a siren with a backup battery and a dedicated backup battery for the security system. With this number of components, we decided to make a mounting panel out of polymer plastic. This bracket holds the brain, relays and backup battery. We wired up the system, then mounted it on the side of the center console. Our technicians ran the wiring into the dash and completed the connections.
The client can now use his smartphone with the DroneMobile app to lock, unlock and remote start the truck. He can locate the vehicle on Google maps and gets alerts if the alarm is triggered.
